I have been working in the Personal Training and Fitness Industry for more than 14 years now and the single most important thing I have discovered is that while many diet and training programmes can produce different degrees of results, almost all fail in the pursuit of long term body shaping and personal health.
My philosophy is entirely motivated in delivering true health to my clients that can last a lifetime! Eating healthy and exercising should not be a strain on people and I believe it doesn't have to be. We should be able to enjoy our food and have it deliver the nutrients our bodies need at the same time. Why not?
In more recent years, I have been working more directly with women going through perimenopause and menopause. Every woman experiences different symptoms during this stage of their life from weight gain to hormonal changes which can sometimes make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle more challenging. I am here to help support, guide and motivate women through menopause with an individual approach that works for you, how you want to feel and where you want to go. Having a coach that understands this time of your life and is there to support your progress is really important.

When it comes to exercise, not all forms are equal. For example, if you are experiencing sleep disturbance or increased stress levels, you might need to consider temporarily staying away from HIIT workouts and focus more on walking, light jogging, yoga, pilates or light body resistance work to help keep your cortisol levels low. If you have joint pain, I would adapt a programme that is targeted to improve your muscle strength and bone density with controlled movements that help reduce or alleviate the pain in the long run.
